The red mist has now cleared — or should I say ‘been painted over’ — and the color scheme has been quietly bowdlerized to a sedate cream-and-brown —

A forlorn splash of scarlet is all that remains to mark the original vibrancy of this staid facade
Actually, it’s more white-and-indian red, but the inverse mock Tudor effect is basically the same. Personally I would have stuck with the braver, ballsier, full-on scarlet, but then that’s probably why they don’t put someone like me in charge of this sort of project.
