Thar she glows! Here’s the Scarlet Whale — my new favorite building — resplendent in the morning sun and a fresh coat of paint.
It might look a little crimson here, but in real life this puppy is full-on fire-engine red.
‘Captain Indian Red’ just doesn’t have the same ring to it. But it’s fascinating how the scarlet on the side wall now appears to be almost the exact same color. Students of Edward Hopper take note.
