Honest! I wasn’t even looking at it.
What happened was there was no-one around and I was just quietly walking past the bicycle racks minding my own business and wondering what I might have for lunch (pineapple and bacon and bread and cheese and a nice cup of tea since you ask) when suddenly — POP! and I turned in the direction of the sound to see a bicycle slowly overbalance and fall over. Closer inspection revealed that its back tire had blown out.
Well OK, it was hot out there, and sure, blowouts do happen, but usually they don’t occur spontaneously like that, without any provocation or anything.
So there you are, a Completely Unexplained Event. Life’s just too weird sometimes innit.
(And no, I’m not posting a picture. It was just a fallen-over bike with a burst tire. Use your imagination.)
